Get to Know Me

As an honours graduate of Algonquin College's Professional Writing program, my academic and professional experiences have fine-tuned my writing and editing skills. However, my love of writing began when I was ten and aspired to be a famous novelist in New York.

My goals have changed over the years, but my passion for writing has never faded. The Professional Writing program showed me that writing in a professional context is just as fulfilling as a creative one—and that the two can often overlap. The skills I used in writing creative literature like narrative non-fiction pieces, poetry, short stories, and scripts allowed me to find a niche in content writing and copywriting. I found a way to incorporate my unique, personal flair into professional writing works like blogs, website copy, social media content, and more.

A natural perfectionist, I also thrive in editing projects. As the Line Editing Team Leader and Editorial Board member for the Professional Writing program's final project, I oversaw a team of editors to ensure the By the Fire: A Dark Night anthology met our standards—and let me tell you, writers have high standards. I discovered an aptitude for substantive editing, copyediting, and proofreading.

I'm actively pursuing freelance writing opportunities and look forward to working with clients in need of a quality writer. Be sure to check out my services page for more information.
